OHIP chooses to ignore a Kingston family physician’s incredible mega-vaccination effort during the unprecedented hashtagCOVID19 public health crisis and applies a technicality embedded in a 20-year old bulletin. In addition, Ministry of Health messaging not-so-subtly hints at physicians taking advantage of the payment system, “pocketing the remaining amount”.
This punitive action must be thoroughly quashed as it undermines calls to “step up” and lead during a crisis.
