CJAD 800 Montreal Elias Makos interviewed a healthcare worker who – once triaged – opted to travel to l’Hôpital générale de Hawkesbury General Hospital emergency department rather than wait an estimated 15 hours at downtown Montréal’s CHUM (~75 minutes |~100 km).
After a 2-3 hour wait, the worker was cared for at HGH and returned home before he would have been seen at the CHUM.
