(CHT) Former Health Minister Matthews: “Pay more attention to #sdoh” and “we are very ill-prepared for the #demographic challenge.” This has been known for at least 40 years…yet, here we are.

It is amazing that Health Minister Marc Lalonde released the landmark “Ottawa Charter” in 1974 and demographer David Foot wrote his seminal book “Boom Bust Echo” in 1996, yet we are still ham-fisting our way through health system planning almost a quarter of the way into the 21st century!
